Have you ever been to a home and gift expo before? I went along to the Spring Fair in Birmingham this week, to look for inspiration. The Spring Fair is gigantic. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of stands from all sorts of brands, big and small. From homeware, DIY, fashion, and gifts, there is a lot to see!
According to a new poll, three in ten people admit lying to their friends about where they bought homeware finds, to stop them copying their style! Well that is not my style at all – when I find a bargain I like to share it! So I’ve handpicked a few of my latest discoveries, and where you can find them.
MY SPRING FAIR HOMEWARE EDIT
First up, these gorgeous neon decorations from Love Inc. caught my eye. They aren’t cheap but boy are they cheerful! This Cloud and Rainbow LED Neon Light is £195, but isn’t it adorable?Next, check out these lovely industrial lights from Jam Jar Lights.
They are based in Birmingham and use local materials as much as possible, and when I say local, I mean the Midlands, with some from further afield in the UK. I will be checking them out when it comes to choosing new lights for our kitchen diner – they told me they can make lights out of Mason Cash mixing bowls. How cool?
My favourite stand overall was Hubsch Interior: perfection, right? I wanted everything.
The best of the rest at The Spring Fair…
And there were plenty of flamingo goodies to keep me happy – nice to see that my favourite trend is going nowhere!
GIFTING at The Spring Fair
As well as a wealth of interior inspiration, there are also lots of bath and body companies, including some natural ones. I loved the Humble By Kate Humble bath and body stand. The products are all natural, biodegradable and sustainable, with no parabens or SLSs, which really appeals to me. They smell lovely too.
Isn’t this Winter In Venice gift set adorable? The formulas are paraben-free, cruelty-free, and full of natural extracts. I tried the Vanilla Berry Hand lotion and it smells gorgeous, and sinks in like a dream!
There were gorgeous scented candles on display from Bee Fayre. They make all of their lovely natural products in the UK, using local suppliers wherever they can.
They make lip balms, and bath and body products, as well as candles, and they donate a percentage of their profits to bee conservation.
How adorable is this embroidery kit from Hawthorn Handmade? I know Thea in particular would go crazy for this if I made it for her.
They have lots of other gorgeous kits, and they come with everything you need to complete it.
So all in all, I had a great time at The Spring Fair, and it’s lucky it’s a trade fair, so they weren’t selling to me, or I would have spent a fortune!
*Thanks to the guys at The Spring Fair for helping me out with petrol money.
