It was Thea’s birthday last week, and a few weeks ago, we asked her what kind of party she wanted. She announced she wanted an Ariel cake. *Cue slight panic from me and frantic Pinteresting!* A couple of days later I was offered the chance to review a set of party bags and tableware from the lovely people at Party Bags & Supplies, so the timing couldn’t have been better!
I went onto their site and took a look at their party supplies. There are lots to choose from, including Frozen (of course!) Minions, Hello Kitty, Star Wars, Fireman Sam… the list goes on, and on! Of course I chose their Ariel Beautiful Mermaid Party Pack for 8, and I knew Thea would be over the moon.
The package arrived a few days after I ordered, and I had to hide it so the girls didn’t get too excited! The packs are £28 and include:
- 8 Ariel party bags, each already filled with a candy necklace, bead bracelet, jewelled ring, two squashy, sticky sea creatures and a Sealife Sticker Activity Book
- 8 good quality Ariel paper plates
- 16 Ariel paper napkins
- 8 Ariel plastic cups
- a large Ariel plastic tablecloth
I think that’s good value as it couldn’t have been easier! The day of the party arrived and I was really pleased with how the table looked, and more importantly, so were Ava and Thea!
The contents of the party bags were really thoughtful as the contents matched the theme really well.
So did the kids like the bags? Look at those smiles and judge for yourself!
The other party guests were all boys, and they were equally happy with the contents, even the jewellery, he he, such cuties.
Just one word of warning about the squishy sea creatures – they did leave a but of a greasy mark on our wall, but it came off easily with a baby wipe. We have now got a rule that they are only allowed on windows from now on.
Party Bags & Supplies also do loads of other party-related goodies, like balloons, party games, gift wrap, party poppers…. pretty much anything you can think of, plus stocking fillers, and judging by the quality and value of our party pack, I would use them for our next party.
And as for the Little Mermaid cake? Well after quite a stressful morning, it turned out rather well – it’s quite simple, but time-consuming!
The day after the party, Ava said “Can we keep the tablecloth? Or maybe we could hang it on Thea’s bedroom wall to remind her of her lovely party!” We decided to keep it on the table and it’s still looking good.
