This morning, like every morning, was a complete battle of wills. Firstly, the will to wake up completely left me, after getting up about four times overnight to the repeated cry of “I want a dummy, I want a dummy, I want a dummy…” until I went in and found it under all of Thea’s toys. The other times were “I want mousey” and “I want a dimp(drink).” Then the dummy again.

We had a lovely day out this weekend, at Greys Court, near Henley-on-Thames. (I haven’t missed out the apostrophe, by the way!) It’s a National Trust property, so we knew we’d be in for a good cup of tea, and free entrance, thanks to our membership cards. We didn’t go into the house this time but had a lovely walk around the grounds and spotted lots of lovely things, including some snowdrops. We think it will be stunning in spring and summer when these trees come ...
