The eye area is the first to show signs of ageing, as the skin is much thinner, and more delicate there than the rest of the face. So I think investing in a natural eye cream is a must. I recently wrote a review of four great clean and natural eye creams, which you can read here. But I am always looking for something even better. So as part of my unpaid partnership with Love Lula, I chose to try these luxury natural eye creams by Jane Scrivner. Read on see if splashing out nearly £50 on this pair of natural eye creams is worth it.

About Jane Scrivner

The Jane Scrivner range is a luxury, award-winning natural skincare range. Founder Jane says:

“I trial all my products on myself, so if it doesn’t make a difference, it doesn’t make it. Over 30 years of working in the skincare and therapy industry has bought me to the conclusion that we can feed our skin healthy. I just love that people can use my products and see a big difference; to look in the mirror and see fresh, nourished, healthy skin looking back….that’s when my work is done.”

All About Jane Scrivner Luxury Natural Eye Creams

I have the Jane Scrivner Expert Eye Duo. This contains the Daily Firming Concentrate (to use at night) and the Ultra Hydrating Eye Masque Day Cream. You can buy them separately if you prefer, however.

Jane Scrivner recommends using them both, to help get “nourished, lightened, tightened and brightened eyes”.

“Eyes give away exactly how our skin is doing and if we aren’t feeling great or looking after ourselves as much as we should or if life is just getting in the way then it shows; tired, stressed, dehydrated, dull and drained will be demonstrated in grey, baggy and pale skin around the eyes. The ingredients chosen for Expert Eye can address all these situations and more, leaving us looking fresh faced, awake and hydrated, without overloading the delicate skin.”

Jane Scrivner Ultra Hydrating Eye Masque Day Cream

I’ll start with the Ultra Hydrating Eye Masque Day Cream, which is £25. It’s formulated to nourish delicate skin, reduce the look of dark circles, help ‘tired eyes’ and hydrate fine lines. It’s suitable for all ages, and for those of us with dark circles, puffiness and lines.

This natural eye cream from Jane Scrivner contains oatmeal to tighten and tone, aloe vera to cool and repair, and eyebright and white tea to naturally lighten.

It comes in an air-locked pump, to keep it fresh. As you can see, it looks lovely with the gold top and band. This light, yet nourishing natural eye cream sinks in beautifully, and feels gorgeous. Just pat a squirt on to your eye area, and wait for a few seconds for it to melt in. You can apply make-up straight away.

Jane Scrivner Eye Firming Concentrate Night Serum

The other part of this natural eye care regime is a nourishing oil, called the Eye Firming Concentrate Night Serum, which is also £25. This natural eye serum claims to firm, tone and nourish the delicate skin around the eyes. It is “rich in vitamin C and firming oils nourish and tone skin, and calendula to smooth and calm puffiness.”

This natural eye cream comes in a pipette dropper, and is easy to apply. Just drip a drop onto your fingertip and gently pat around your eyes. It feels so silky and nourishing, and sinks in well, treating your eye area over night as you sleep.

Why Buy Both Natural Eye Creams?

You could, of course, just buy the Eye Masque Day Cream, and use it at night. But the serum is a real treat overnight, and I think using both natural eye creams has made a difference to my eye area. It feels firmer, and plumper, and I think my dark circles have also diminished slightly. The texture of my skin beneath my eyes is also improved – it’s much smoother and more refined.

You can also mix the serum with the cream, for a more intense eye treat overnight. Just mix one pump and drop of each together and smooth around the eyes. I do this every week, if I remember.

You can buy the Jane Scrivner Expert Eye Duo of natural eye creams for £49 here, saving a pound compared to buying them separately. So even though it’s a big outlay, buying these two natural eye creams together will last you twice as long, as you’ll only use them once a day. In this case, I do think paying more is worth it, as I have had noticeable results.

It was good to read your review of these eye creams. I haven’t tried anything from Jane Scrivner yet but it sounds like a great brand and really love the quotes you included here from Jane. I am currently using Antipodes eye cream and I’ve been using it for at least a month but I am not sure whether it’s making any difference to my fine lines yet. Do you think Jane Srivner’s products make more difference?

Thanks for commenting Petra, I really liked the Antipodes Kiwi eye cream and that was my favourite before trying these ones- I think they are even better! Xx
