We’ve been busy in the kitchen, making some super-easy (and very, very yummy) no-bake Easter treats. Chocolate cornflake Easter nests, with Cadbury’s Mini Eggs, are great to make with kids. Of course you can just melt chocolate and mix it with cornflakes, but my recipe is a more gooey version that makes them extra special.
I’m trying to expand my cooking horizons, now that I’m not at work every day. But it’s kind of tricky as I am a fairly fussy eater, and Ava has unfortunately inherited that from me. I do love Tex-Mex though (no doubt linked to the time I lived in Austin, Texas as a child). So when my mum made some yummy chilli at a family do recently, and said it was really easy, I thought I’d give it a go. This is the recipe, passed to my mum from one of her friends.
The legendary chocolate hedgehog cake. It’s an 80s classic that my mum made me, and my kids ask for year after year. As well as looking super cute, it also tastes yummy thanks to a lot of chocolate icing, some orange and lots of Cadbury chocolate buttons! I’ve used photos from two that I’ve made over the years, so they look slightly different.
