Ava's review of 'Cinderella'
I took Ava to see ‘Cinderella’ today. I was slightly apprehensive, as I’d read that quite a few people die in it, so it could spark those all-too-familiar questions about death. However I needn’t have worried about her being scared, she absolutely loved it! (I’m not counting my chickens about the questions just yet though – I expect they’ll be along again soon, but as Ryan says, she needs to know about death.)
First came a mini film called ‘Frozen Fever’ featuring everyone’s favourite sisters Elsa and Anna. Ava roared with laughter at some mini snowmen. Here are her thoughts:
Then came the main event. I wish I could have filmed her reaction, but here is a very grainy snap instead, which kind of sums her reaction up.
Here’s her review – I’m don’t think whoever does Film 2015 nowadays need worry about their job!
I loved it too, especially Cate Blanchett and Daisy from Downton Abbey. The costumes are wonderful and all in all it’s beautiful and magical, especially the Fairy Godmother part and the ball. I was also happy to see my teen crush Ben Chaplin as Ella’s father. I think the message from Ella’s mother, which runs through the film is lovely and hope Ava remembers it:
Have courage and be kind.
