My Favourite Family, Thea, Things I Love

Our ‘baby’ Thea is Three!

Our little poppet Thea is three today, so although she’ll always be my baby, she’s really getting quite old, not even a toddler now! She’s such a ray of sunshine in our lives and makes us laugh every day.

She was born at 9.09 pm (according to this photo of her little feet – I can’t remember the timings, funnily enough!) and we took a few days to decide on her name so she had my name on her little hospital bands.

Becky just before Thea was born with a massive bump

Here I am in hospital, waiting to be induced. Look at the size of my bump! I had to be induced as I had really itchy skin which indicates liver problems.

When she finally came out, my mum, who was there as well as Ryan, blurted out “She’s enormous!” Ha, those were the first words she heard, and my mum was right, she was 9lb1, which was a total shock, as Ava was only 6lb12! I was expecting her to be bigger being the second, and also my bump was huge, but considering she was ten days early, I couldn’t have predicted that weight!

She’s been surprising us ever since! A complete chatterbox (when combined with Ava, there is rarely a quiet moment in our house, unless Peter Rabbit is on!) and the most affectionate and kind little person I’ve ever met. She would quite happily be carried around by us all day long, as she wants to be cuddled all. the. time. She even says “I want all the cuddles.” on a regular basis.

Here are a few of our favourite pictures of our little cherub! She’s driven us nearly crazy by not sleeping properly until just a few months ago, but she always eats her dinner. So it’s swings and roundabouts!

We are having a little party at home for her tomorrow, and I should be making the Little Mermaid cake she has requested but it’s been a hectic week, so I am going to do it tomorrow morning, and hope it doesn’t go wrong! Wish me luck…

Ah thanks Mary, she is definitely more of a handful than Ava was at that age (but maybe I am just not remembering it well?!) The cake turned out well (with the help of a LOT of icing and jam!) and I will be sharing it soon! xx

Aww super cute! My baby turned 3 in September and she’s more like a little lady! Her current addiction is unicorns and she keeps asking us to take her to Unicorn Land! They’re so cute at this age. #twinklytuesday
