Christmas letters

Have your kids written their letters to Father Christmas yet? We are going to have breakfast with the man himself at Wyevale Garden Centre (and are just a teeny bit excited!) at the weekend, so I think we will write them tomorrow, and hand deliver them straight to him!

Last year we went to Waddesdon Manor for their magical Christmas light experience, and the girls ‘wrote’ their letters there, and posted them into a special post box. Thea and Ava 'writing' their letters to Father Christmas

If you’re near South Bucks, I’d highly recommend going to Waddesdon over the festive period, the house looks amazing in all its Christmas splendour and they have a kids trail too. The outdoor lights were spectacular last year, and although we nearly froze, we had a brilliant time.

What Christmas traditions do you have? We are getting very excited already, and Ava keeps asking when we are going to put the tree up.

Our Christmas tradition that I love the most is a home-made gift exchange. We pick names within the family and everyone gets a £10 budget to buy materials. But the present itself must be homemade. Last year my son drew me a lovely picture that reminded me how much he loved me, and he had it framed. Looking forward to seeing what the person I drew thinks of theirs this year!

Love the photos of the girls writing their Christmas letters and hope they enjoy seeing Santa tomorrow. Waddesdon Manor looks amazing – it’s not too far from us so will have to add it to my list of places to visit 🙂

Oooh yes do visit if you can, it’s really worth it, especially if you are National Trust members. We saw Santa today and had a lovely time xx

My daughter still has to learn who Santa Claus is (she’s only 19 months old), but I’m sure I’ll read many letters to Santa in the future!

I think I might be the one doing most of the nagging , ha ha. I’m just hoping they don’t throw any curve balls with their requests! Xx
