Our January: Mess, Love Letters, Afternoon Tea and Home Improvements

I hope you’ve had a good January? Ours has been good, and we even had a few hours of snow which was fun. Here is a little about what we’ve been up to this month. Ava and Thea Ryan made American style pancakes one weekend, and the girls were in seventh heaven! Ava went for chocolate spread and bananas, Thea chose grapes, melon and honey. Yum! Ava and Thea’s December: Birthday Fun and Christmas

Christmas has been and gone in a flash, as usual. Our December has been fun, but so busy, with Ava being ill twice, and my work really taking over. Here are some highlights of our month, and a few lows! Double Illness Ava had a mystery illness that made her hip really hurt. The doctor was a bit worried so I took her to hospital. After nine hours and some blood tests, we took her home to bed. The tests were all clear and she was pretty much fine the next day. Very strange! Granddad brought  ...

Ava and Thea’s November: Making a Shadow Box and Dressing Up Fun

We’ve had a fun November. Here are some of our highlights! Art Workshop A few weeks ago we went to a brilliant art workshop for kids, at the Cowper and Newton Museum in Olney. As well as a tour of the museum, which is all about William Cowper and John Newton (of “Amazing Grace” fame). Then a talented artist Emma Wilde helped Ava and Thea and two of their friends to make a shadow box.
