In Search Of Blush Pink Kitchen Accessories

The end is in sight for our kitchen/diner refit. We finally have a floor, and most of the kitchen units have doors. The dining area is totally finished now, apart from adding some pretties. You’ll have to wait a little longer to see the kitchen section, but you can see the plans here.

The kitchen units (just seen to the left of the photo) are a very pale grey, and we paired them with medium grey worktops. We wanted a touch of colour to warm it up a bit, and add interest. I decided to paint one wall in Pantone’s Rose Quartz and it looked awful. So we painted over with with a few coats of Pantone’s Petal Pink and it’s perfect. We did the insides of the window frames too, and I think I’m going to paint the undersides of the wall units to give a pale pink glow when the lights are on.

My Collection of Blush Pink Accessories, So Far

So now comes the fun part – finding suitable accessories to pull together the finished look. I’ve made a start with this blush pink planter, filled with succulents, which I found in IKEA. 

I’ve dug out an old blush pink teapot, and sourced some matching stoneware handleless mugs from HEMA for £4 for two. I also got a blush pink tea towel from there, but that is the extent of my finds, so far…

Luckily, I’ve found a gorgeous Interior Design Trends Edit over at Etsy. Within that collection, there is a Blush Pink Edit to help people in the same predicament. I’ve been pinning them to a Pinterest board like a mad woman. 

How cute are those flying geese? And the girls would LOVE the pink placemats. I think the palm print would look great too, in a black frame against one of our white walls…. oooh so many lovely things! What do you like best?
