We live in an area with really hard water, so I’m always battling with limescale. I descale my kettle with white vinegar, but haven’t ever done much to try and keep our appliances free from limescale before. Once or twice I’ve used those plastic cleaning bottles you put in the top rack of an empty dishwasher. But the smell was so strong it made me realise they are not good for the environment, or my lungs! Plus, the plastic bottle then needs disposal.

Our sinks have been a running a bit slowly, so I was keen to try these Ecozone Drain Sticks. I like the way the pack has a month written under each stick, as a reminder. You just pop a stuck down the plughole. It will stay in the U bend, releasing enzymes that break anything that goes down there, helping to stop blockages.
I used one non-toxic stick in our kitchen sink and one in our bathroom and they are running better already. I’ll be buying more of these! There is a little bit of plastic in the packaging. But it’s a huge improvement on a plastic bottle of chemical drain cleaner.
Target Stains Without Toxic Chemicals, or Plastic
I’m passionate about looking after our clothes, so they last as long as they possibly can, and are worthy of handing down when outgrown. But stains and general grubbiness are a fact of life, especially with kids!
These EcoZone Pure Oxygen Tablets use all-natural ingredients and the power of oxygen to lift dirt from fabrics. You just add a tablet to the drum of your washing machine along with your usual detergent and wash as usual.

Finally, we swapped our recycled black bags to 100% biodegradable bin liners. It’s such an easy swap to make, to cut down in single use plastic. These bin liners are tear-resistant even when wet, so hopefully our bin men will approve too.
