I’ve just got back from a week at the perfect Air B & B in Nashville, Tennessee. (I’ll be blogging about the reason I went to Nashville soon.) I was so excited by our host Alice’s home decor, and it generated quite a bit of interest when I posted about it on my Instagram account. I thought you’d be interested to see more of this gorgeous Air B & B, so I asked Alice if she’d mind me sharing some photos with you.
The Perfect Air B & B in Nashville
My sister found the Air B & B in Nashville and she sent me the link. I thought it looked nice, but I wasn’t prepared for how drop dead gorgeous it is in real life. After a long flight sitting next to a man who smelled of hangovers and sweaty socks, it was brilliant to find such a comfy, beautiful space. Alice, who owns the house, calls it ‘The Sweetest Escape’ and it really is.
We shared a twin room, and there are two other rooms, one with an en suite, which other people were staying in. We didn’t see those rooms, but I’m sure they were just as lovely as ours. There is a large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, a toilet, and another room, which our host Alice was using. There is also a garden with a cute deck.
Don’t you just love the Mexican-inspired outdoor rug and cushions? The footstools and coffee table are all weather-proof too. We didn’t sit in the garden much as it was really hot, and we got bitten by mosquitos. It would be so gorgeous in cooler weather though.
Downstairs at the Perfect Air B & B in Nashville
We spent most of our time in the welcoming downstairs shared area of our perfect Air B & B. I love the dark hardwood floor and white walls, with simple monochrome furniture and kitchen. Alice added fun pops of colour with artwork and accessories.
You open the front door (with a fancy electric coded lock) straight into the open plan space, stepping onto a very cute doormat.
There’s a slim console table in the entrance, with an oversized mirror above. Alice provided books and games to make us feel welcome.
There is no shortage of seating, with a low profile charcoal couch, a rattan chair, a pair of upholstered chairs and two footstools to choose from.
The glass dining table is surrounded by four gorgeous chairs, with a copper dish in the centre. It’s a lovely bright spot to eat at.
Don’t miss the gorgeous light fixture!
Next you get to the white kitchen, complete with a high breakfast bar and stools.
I love the chevron tiles and bold black granite worktops.
There’s a huge fridge/freezer with ice machine, a dishwasher, and a big range cooker. There are pots and pans, a coffee maker, and thoughtful touches like reusable cups and bottles, and storage containers.
Upstairs at the Perfect Air B & B in Nashville
You climb the airy stairs to get to the bedrooms and bathroom.
I forgot to take a picture of our room before we unpacked, so took one at the end. It had a basket full of thoughtful touches like toothbrushes, make-up remover wipes, water and cereal bars. There were also soft fluffy towels on the bed, and there is an alarm clock with white noise features, a fan, and a large closet. Of course the house is air conditioned, so you can find the perfect temperature. The curtain is nice and thick and blocked out the light well, and the bed were super comfy.
The bathroom has a marble counter and bath with shower over.
Alice put up funny little pictures that made me smile, and there’s a hairdryer in the cupboard.
Perfect Air B & B in Nashville Location
The Air B & B is in East Nashville, on a quiet street with parking for two cars. There is a nice park close by, and a cute coffee shop about a quarter of an hour away by foot. We had a delicious watermelon salad, and tea there. There is also a cute Insta-worthy wall that I couldn’t resist a snap with. There’s a pharmacy there, and a diner, and a pub.

Thanks for all the messages wishing us a good trip! We made it to #Nashville and it’s over 30 degrees (and fairly humid.) I found a lovely Instagrammable wall on the way to lunch so I couldn’t resist a snap. I’m trying to eat some fruit and veg while I can as my food choices are only going to get more fried as the week goes on 🙊 #instagramwall #abmlifeisbeautiful
The nearest supermarket is a half hour walk, but we got a taxi as it was way too hot to walk. A 30 minute walk In the other direction takes you to a little development with a few nice shops, a restaurant and a great little cafe with a pink bar called The Terminal Cafe.

When you find a cafe that has a #hotpink counter, and sells (hot) English Breakfast tea and gluten-free waffles for @debjfielding 🙌🏻 (I obvs had a waffle too, with Eggs Benedict 😋- swipe to see the deliciousness. We are having a lazy day for our last day in #Nashville and exploring the neighbourhood we are staying in and then we have tickets to The Grand Ole Opry tonight, and hopefully BBQ for dinner, because when in Rome… So yes today is all about eating, may try and squeeze in an ice cream if we can! #hottea #englishbreakfast #youcantakethegirloutofengland
I managed to squeeze in some delicious ice cream from a great ice-cream parlous there too, though I did feel a bit sick afterwards!

Nashville, it’s been sensational. We are about to get on the first of our two flights home to England (fingers crossed for no delays 🤞🏻) and I can not wait to see my little family, I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed them. I wish I could take back some of this splendid #icecream from @jenisicecreams – Ava and Thea would be in love with this place! See you on the other side ✈️ ✈️ #nashville #musiccity
There are also some bars around which are apparently great. We were so tired we didn’t head out in the evenings though. It takes about a quarter of an hour by taxi to get to downtown Nashville, making it the perfect location.
