Like all parents, my head is spinning with end of year activities and things to remember for pre-school. It was ‘Pirates Day’ and the school fete last week (cue frantic cake making on Thursday night, and mass self-buying of the raffle tickets I was supposed to sell) and ‘Wheels Day’ today, as well as Ava’s ‘graduation’ from nursery. It’s a party tomorrow. And the last day on Wednesday. Phew!
So buying/making gifts for her teachers has been hovering on my to-do list for a little while. I was trying to think of something Ava could make herself, instead of buying something, as I want them to know we really appreciate what they do. So I reused my Father’s Day gift idea of decorating IKEA plates with Sharpie markers.
Ava sat for almost two hours to do these and loved every minute.
As well as three main teachers there are ten assistants of various types so I think I will go shopping for a big box of chocolates tomorrow, for them to share. A girl can never have too much chocolate, after all!

I hope the teachers like them- they looked w bit like they were going to cry when we took them in today, which I think is a good sign! X
