Beauty Boosts, House to Home, Things I Love

Five things I love right now: July

1. All yellow, orange and red peppers. Finally, you can now buy a packet of peppers that doesn’t have a lousy green one in it. Thank you Sainsbury’s for seeing sense! We go through so many peppers, the girls love them raw, it’s one of their favourite snacks. But we all hate the green ones.  Red, yellow and orange peppers
2. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue I love bareMinerals products. I’ve used their Original Mineral Foundation for ages and their new tinted gel moisturiser is great, either as a (very) light skin-tone-even-outer, or beneath the powder foundation. It has an SPF of 30, which is a big bonus, and even has a shade pale enough for me! It’s not the cheapest as £26 but I used my Boots points so didn’t mind.bareMinerals Complexion Rescue
3. Childs Farm Hair Detangler. We’ve tried a few over the years and this one is hands down the best. It smells great, and is 98% natural, with no parabens, SLSs, or mineral oils. Love it. We love the rest of the range too, as it has never made Ava’s eczema flare up.Childs Farm Hair Detangler

4. This copper fan. Sorry if I have single-handedly stopped summer by buying this. But I had to. It’s so pretty and goes perfectly with the other copper items in our soon-to-be-finished office. It’s from Dunelm, and was £34.99.Copper fan, pencil pot and vase
5. Flamingo PJs. I couldn’t let another month go by without another flamingo item. My sister found these beauties in a charity shop. They look brand new. Who would EVER give them away?! They are superb, and Thea thinks so too. Thea in blue and pink flamingo pyjamas

[…] for Thea, so if they ever have bunkbeds, they will match. Ava LOVES it. She’s also pinched Thea’s flamingo PJs from last month, as the thinks wearing them in her bed makes her camouflaged. I go along with that, […]

I always love reading your fave 5 things, what a nice round up and to look back on what you were loving as the seasons change too – its great!

The copper stuff isn’t something id naturally go for but how cool does it look? I love it. And those flamingo Pjs – lush!

Ive never tried bare minerals, the SPF is a bonus, how is the coverage in the foundations? x

Hi Mary, thank you, I am obsessed with copper!! The coverage of the powder foundations is great as you can build it up in thin layers, and cover up and blemished etc, and the coverage of the liquid one in the photo is very light, basically a posh tinted moisturiser. Xx

I LOVE that copper fan, it looks absolutely fabulous! Much nicer than all the normal boring basic ones, that is one stylish fan 😀 I am a big fan of copper in interiors anyway, it looks really lovely. Not that I have any at my home, I just like the look of it. And hah, brilliant about those peppers – I too think that the green peppers can be a bit bitter. I’ll keep my eye out for these when I next go to Sainsburys 🙂

Thanks for linking to #mymonthlyroundup 🙂 Was really nice having you there for the first time!

I’m slightly obsessed with copper, I am spray paining anything I can get my hands on! See you next month x

Love the copper fan, it’s really unique looking. I think all peppers taste the same, but I don’t eat them raw, maybe I would notice the difference that way #MyMonthlyRoundup

Hi Debbie, yes I think you’re right it makes a difference when you eat them raw- the green ones are ok for cooking (though we still aren’t fans!) x

We are not fan of green peppers in our house either – they taste a bit bitter don’t they? Love the look of the copper fan. I am going to take a sneak peak at howkapow now. i also love the fact that there is another flamingo item on the list – you’ll have to see if you can do this every month! 😉
Thanks so much for linking up xx
