Are you searching for the perfect clean foundation? One that perfects skin, looks flatteringly natural, and doesn’t contain any nasties? As a longstanding fan of Madara organic skincare and make-up, I loved their Skin Equal Foundation, with its soft-glow finish. But of course I wanted to try their newer Skinonym Semi-Matte Peptide Foundation.
So does Madara’s Skinonym Foundation live up their skincare? Read my review to find out.

Madara Skinonym Foundation Coverage
I’ll start with a photo of me wearing both Madara Skinonym Foundation and Madara The Concealer.
This shows you how flawless a finish I’ve achieved. This is an unedited photo. I am 45 and have acne scarring, wrinkles and a few spots but Madara Skinonym Foundation and their The Concealer do a brilliant job of disguising them.

I’m also wearing my powder obsession – Love the Planet Translucent Perfecting Powder. So please scroll down for more photos of Madara Skinonym Foundation and Concealer without the powder on top. I’m also wearing two coats of Love Ethical Beauty Mesmerise Mascara in Black, which you can read all about here.
All About Madara Skinonym Foundation
Madara say:
“This skincare expert-developed foundation adapts to your skinโs unique texture, granting seamless semi-matte coverage and a second-skin finish. Boosted by plant-derived peptides to help support collagen, promoting a youthful, plump look. Formulated with pure mineral pigments without a pinch of synthetic or animal-derived colourants.”

This mineral foundation feels lightweight, yet delivers impressive coverage. It comes in a squeezy tube, with a cardboard box with the product details. This clean foundation is Vegan, nut-free, gluten-free and ECOCERT certified. It’s rated ‘good’ on the Yuka app, with no ingredients that concern me.
Madara Skinonym Foundation Review
I apply this foundation straight from the tube with my fingertips, after my SPF. Of course you can use a brush or sponge if you prefer. It has a medium to full coverage, with a semi matte finish. I find the coverage is so good that adding a touch of the matching Madara concealer covers everything.
The texture is so easy to blend. If you’re already a fan of Madara’s amazing CC Cream, you’ll notice it’s a similar consistency. If you haven’t already tried Madara’s CC Cream have a look at my rave review here. I think I’m on my 10th tube now, it’s that good.

My shade is Linen, and I’m really happy with the match. I have just tapped it into my skin here, and you can see how it covers my veins and a sun spot.
This is easily the best liquid foundation I’ve ever reviewed. I can’t imagine finding a clean foundation that beats it.
It gives great natural-looking coverage thanks to a high concentration of mineral pigments, and feels amazing on the skin. It leaves a slightly dewey, but not oily finish and lasts all day.
Madara Skinonym Foundation Before and After
So now you know what makes Madara Skininym Foundation so brilliant, I’ll show you a before and after. The first photo is my bare skin. The middle photo is Skinonym Foundation over my SPF. In the final photo, I have the rest of my natural make-up on too. These photos are all exactly as I took them, with no editing. My skin looks even, radiant but not shiny, and perfected. The foundation lasts very well too.

My full look has Husk & Seed Natural Mineral Sunscreen, Madara Skinonym Foundation, Madara The Concealer, Love the Planet Mineral Translucent Perfecting Powder, RMS Lip and Cheek on my cheeks, Love Ethical Beauty Mesmerise Mascara and Lily Lolo Eyebrow Pencil. I forgot to add the mascara to the photo though!

This is not the cheapest foundation, but in my opinion, it’s well worth the investment. I can’t imagine finding anything to beat this high performance, organic and natural base.
