Have you ever heard of OnyaBags? They are a small, eco-friendly company, who sell a myriad of recycled and reusable products. They have brought out these brilliant OnyaLunch wraps and gave Ava and Thea one each and we have been using them over the summer whenever we have picnics. In our bid to save money, that is quite often.
The plastic-backed fabric just folds around your lunch, secures with Velcro, then unfolds to give you a nice big surface to eat the sandwich from, keeping the contents clean.
They just wrap up whatever sandwich you have, big or small, and are so much better than clingfilm. When the girls only eat half their sandwich… so that’s pretty much every time… I just fold the mat over again, and the contents will be lovely and fresh for the next “I’m HUUUUUNGRY” moment. Also they pack down to practically nothing, unlike plastic lunch boxes.
As they are really sturdy, they help protect the contents a bit as well, and you can wash them by hand. The girls love them and so do I!
Onya’s most well known products are bags made from recycled plastic, which stuff into a mini bag on a keyring. We have loads as they are so handy – way better than getting yet more plastic bags!
They do reusable water bottles too, which are not only better for us, but far better for the planet too.
