Finding a great organic, natural liquid foundation is a bit hit or miss, in my experience. My last trial, of Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation wasn’t that successful, so will Inika Organic Liquid Foundation be more successful? Read on to find out!
About Inika Organic
I had high hopes about this foundation, as Inika Loose Mineral powder foundation is one of my favourites. I love this brand, so here is a little about them:
“Inika (is) the organic make-up brand, that has been awarded one of the highest safety ratings in the world by the EWG (Environmental Working Group) and is committed to maintaining our Certified Organic, Cruelty-Free, Halal and Vegan status.”
INIKA
They don’t include a whole host of chemical ingredients commonly found in conventional make-up.

But now, let’s get back to my review of Inika Organic Liquid Foundation.

About Inika Organic Liquid Foundation
This 100% natural foundation cares for skin as it covers. It combines natural antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to illuminate the skin, with the added benefits of Hyaluronic Acid.
“Certified Organic ingredients provide intense hydration while smoothing wrinkles and helping to regenerate skin cells. Creates flawless, natural coverage which is easily buildable on areas of concern. No oily residue, will not clog pores. Flawless blend ability.”

And here are the ingredients:

This natural liquid foundation comes in six shades. I have Cream, which is a described as “For light to medium skin tones and perfect for those with an English Rose complexion. A partner for Unity in our mineral foundation range.” As you can see, it’s a pretty good match for my skin tone.

About Inika Organic Liquid Foundation Coverage

I have to say I was a little disappointed in the coverage of the Inika Liquid Foundation. I find it more like a BB cream level of coverage, and you can see how it looks here, with no primer or BB cream beneath it, but with concealer and translucent powder.
In this photo, I’m also wearing a touch of concealer and translucent powder over the foundation in this photo below, and the fantastic Inika Long Lash mascara – you can read my review of it here. As you can see, the coverage of this natural foundation is much better when applied over my favourite Madara CC Cream, which is tinted.
When paired with the CC cream, and a touch of concealer, Inika Organic Foundation gives a great near-flawless finish, and it lasts well through the day.

How to Apply Inika Organic Liquid Foundation
I tried to apply Inika Certified Organic Liquid Foundation in a few ways, to determine the best way. Inika recommend using a foundation brush, but I felt that sort of dragged it about, without giving a good finish. I tried a beauty blender, with a similar result. So for me, applying it with my fingers worked best, using a patting motion, rather than blending it. You do need to make sure your skin is properly moisturised too, as this Inika Liquid Foundation does stick to dry patches.
I also found it dries very quickly, so it’s best to work very fast! Using Inika Certified Organic Liquid Foundation over a primer works best, as it does drag over bare skin. I personally love Madara CC cream, and found this to be the perfect base.
My Verdict on Inika Organic Liquid Foundation
Although this organic liquid foundation is nice, it’s not one I will be buying again. Inika’s loose mineral foundation is a far better foundation in my opinion, and is much quicker and easier to apply. Having said that, this foundation does get great reviews, so it may just be that it’s not great for my combination skin.
