Natural Brand Focus: Sister & Co Skin Food Review

I’ve recently discovered a new clean skincare brand called Sister & Co Skin Food. This all-natural brand doesn’t use any fillers, chemical preservatives or fragrances, or other toxins, without compromising on luxury. The three products I was sent* to review are all delightful to use, and work so well. I’m using their True Cleanse Cleansing Oil, Super Seed Facial Formula and Body Melt.Sister & Co Skin Food Review

About Sister & Co Skin Food

Sister & Co Skin Food was launched in Spring 2015 by former lawyer Sophie Thompson. She discovered that raw coconut oil was the only thing that helped clear up her problem skin. After bringing her own line of coconut oil to the market, Sophie developed her collection of 100% natural skin and body care products. It’s made of a wide range of skin superfoods from around the world. Ingredients including cold-pressed plant oils, raw nut butters and milks, sugars, salts, clays, waxes and pure essential oils.

Sister & Co Skin Food don’t use any synthetic preservatives or fragrances, fillers, chemical dyes or other toxins. Instead, their raw, or minimally processed ingredients remain as potent as they are found in nature at source. Their products are never tested on animals, and hand-blended in England.

Sister & Co Skin Food True Cleanse Cleansing Oil

Every evening I use Sister & Co Skin Food True Cleanse Cleansing Oil, removing it with a facecloth soaked in warm water. It works so well to remove make-up and leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised. I finish with a quick sweep of micellar water to get the last traces. True Cleanse Cleansing Oil It’s 100% natural, vegetarian, vegan, gluten & dairy free, made with certified organic ingredients including cold-pressed apricot, jojoba and grape oils infused with rose otto and frankincense.

The bottle is glass, so will be easily recyclable, along with the cardboard box. True Cleanse Cleansing Oil is available here for £30 for 100ml.

Sister & Co Skin Food Facial Formula

After cleansing, I massage in a few drops Sister & Co Skin Food Facial Formula. It’s a concentrated blend of Amazonian cacay seed oil and organic rosehip seed oil. It feels so soothing and nourishing, and unlike some facial oils I’ve used in the past, hasn’t caused any breakouts. You can use it in the day but I think that would be too greasy for my oily skin.

Rich in natural retinol, linoleic acid, vitamin E and key omega fatty acids, Sister & Co Skin Food say it helps restore an even skin tone, minimise the appearance of fine lines and deeply nourish, leaving skin glowing and hydrated. It’s 100% natural, vegetarian, vegan, gluten & dairy free, made with certified organic ingredients.

Again it has a glass bottle, which looks so good on my bedside table. Sister & Co Skin Food Facial Formula costs £30 for 30ml here, and will last a long time as you don’t need to use much.

Sister & Co Skin Food Body Melt

Finally this luscious Sister & Co Skin Food Body Melt is so rich and smells gorgeous. You can use it all over your body, and it has the consistency of a balm, made of cold-pressed raw apricot and almond oils with premium grade shea butter. The Sicilian lemon and sweet Madagascar vanilla smell lush too. It’s 100% natural, gluten & dairy free, made with certified organic ingredients.

Look how rich it is. It’s slightly greasy for a while as it sinks in, so again I use this at night, and it leaves skin so soft and smooth.

Sister & Co Skin Food Body Melt formula

You can buy Sister & Co Skin Food Body Melt here for £24 for 100ml. It also has a glass jar with a plastic screw top.

Sister & Co Skin Food have a capsule collection of natural beauty products. They include scrubs, soaps, lip balms, bath soaks, hair oil and dental care. I’m very happy to continue using all three of these product – you can see from this image how much I’ve already used over the last few months.
