Review: May Love Lula Natural Beauty Box

Welcome to my review of the Love Lula Natural Beauty Box for May. This month’s beauty box contains full-sized products from Inika, the Castilian Soap Company, Ayumi and Skin Alchemists. Together they are valued at £51. This is great value as it costs a regular subscriber £14.95, including postage.

You also get a code for 25% off the brands featured in the box. You can use this until the 10th of the following month. So which were my favourite products in the May Love Lula Natural Beauty Box? Read on to find out.

Ayumi Hibiscus and Turmeric Shampoo Review

This great value natural shampoo contains hibiscus, turmeric, papaya, bergamot and pumpkin.

Ayumi Hibiscus and Turmeric Shampoo

This shampoo smells absolutely gorgeous and lathers nicely. It leaves hair feeling lovely and clean, though it’s a bit drying for my processed hair. I use it on the girls’ hair and it’s ideal, plus they love the scent.

It’s meant to give hair more volume, but I didn’t see any increased volume. That said, it’s a great shampoo for normal hair, and costs £6.99.

Skin Alchemists Humble Warrior Cleansing Oil Review

This cleansing oil smells lovely and does a great job of removing make-up, with the help of a muslin cloth.

Its “oil pulling” for your skin in a masterful blend of large and small molecule oils which provide the perfect combination for detoxifying the skin by lifting hard to remove make up and cleansing pore debris. This multi-tasker can be used as a face mask, hair conditioning treatment, massage oil and cuticle oil.

Skin Alchemists

Whilst I do really like this cleansing oil, I don’t like it quite as much as the Joik cleansing oil which I recently reviewed.

The Castilian Soap Company Natural Hand Sanitiser Review

I was really pleased to find a natural hand sanitiser in this month’s beauty box.

The Castilian Soap Company Natural Hand Sanitiser

Like most people, I’m using a lot more hand sanitiser than usual! My hands are not happy, as the ones I’ve been using strip the moisture from skin. This one has just four natural ingredients: organic alcohol, organic chamomile water, natural plant glycerin and peppermint essential oil. It helps kill germs without drying out hands.

It smells nice – but a bit like toothpaste. Not a problem for me, I’m really happy with it!

Inika Lip Crayon Review

Inika is one of my favourite natural beauty brands, (read on to see my favourite products). This month’s Love Lula beauty box contains their Lip Crayon, which feels so lovely on the lips and gives a really strong colour. With a flattering semi-matte finish, it’s easy to apply and feels moisturising without being sticky.

The only problem is the colour. I got Deep Plum and it makes me look SO washed out. I love everything else about this natural lip colour. I think it would look amazing on someone with a darker skin tone than me.

I would buy it in a brighter shade – it comes in five other shades.
