Inika Certified Organic Mineral Mattifying Powder Review
Inika are one of my favourite natural beauty brands so I’m always delighted when they get included in the Beauty Box. This month, there’ s a full size version of their Mineral Mattifying Powder.
This is actually one of my favourite powders and I reviewed it here, along with their mineral powder foundation about 18 months ago if you want a more detailed review.
This mineral mattifying powder looks white in the pot, but is invisible when you put it onto your skin. It leaves a natural matte finish, and can be used on bare skin, over concealer, or over foundation.
Inika say it gives a โhealthy looking, airbrushed finishโ and I think it does minimise the look of imperfections and shine, and it gives a great finish to make-up.
All Inikaโs ingredients are ethically sourced, natural and derived from botanicals or minerals. They are certified organic, vegan, halal, and cruelty-free. This means they donโt contain petrochemicals, synthetics, mineral oils, parabens, talc, PEGS, gluten or lactose.
Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Natural Nutrition Moisturiser Review
I have enjoyed all the Dr Botanicals products I’ve tried through the Love Lula Beauty Box and this Hemp day cream has also impressed me. We were sent a travel sized version but the full size comes in a jar.
It’s a greenish gel-lotion that feels a little sticky on application, but dries to a lovely matte finish. It feels refreshing as it sinks in, and gives a little bit of a tightening feel. I think it’s perfect for oily or combination skin like mine, but I’m not sure that it would give enough moisture for dry skin types. It makes a good make-up base but I wish it had SPF protection in it.
Madara Plant Smart Anti-Pollution Charcoal & Mud Repair Mask Review
As a Madara superfan I’m delighted to see another of their gorgeous products this month, in the shape of a travel sized charcoal mask. This black-coloured mask as actually been in a previous Beauty Box and I loved it then, and I love it now! It contains antioxidant-rich black northern mud and charcoal to purify and promote skin cell renewal. Itโs lovely to use and makes skin look more radiant.
Urban Veda Reviving Night Cream Review
Urban Veda products are another Love Lula Beauty Box regular and this rose-scented night cream is probably my favourite so far. It sinks in beautifully and leaves skin moisturised and refreshed.
Ayumi Glow Turmeric & Papaya Facal Toner Review
This toner is the only product I didn’t get on with this month. I don’t use toners anyway as the alcohol they contain tends to strip the skin’s natural moisture. This toner made me break out in white heads, so I have stopped using it.
If you want to remove the last traces of your make-up after oil or balm cleansing, I recommend this fab micellar water from Mossa.
