Madara Deep Matter Mascara Review: Is It Any Good?

I am a huge fan of Madara organic skincare and make-up. I haven’t used a product that I haven’t liked, and I love the company’s ethos. So will Madara’s first mascara live up to their other excellent clean skincare and make-up? Madara Deep Matter Mascara is a clean, premium mascara, but is it worth the price?

Read on for my Madara Deep Matter Mascara review, to see if it lives up to my high expectations.

All About Madara Deep Matter Mascara

Madara CC Cream is one of my can’t-live-without products and their foundation and concealer are also excellent. So I was excited when Madara launched their first mascara.

Madara say Deep Matter Mascara is a “jet black, buildable mascara.”

“Infused with organic castor oil, the natural certified formula nurtures and reinforces your lashes, whilst giving a fascinating volume, definition and length. Natural vegan waxes and plant-derived peptides ensure easy application and incredible lasting power. The high-definition wand reaches even the tiniest hair for a full bloom effect that is truly eye-opening.”

It has an excellent moulded plastic brush that does a great job of grabbing and coating every lash, and is slim so it can be used on lower lashes without too much mess.

How Madara Bold Volume Mascara Looks On Me

So that is all good, but how does it look? Let’s take a look and see how much you can build your lashes with Madara Deep Matter Mascara.

I am so impressed with how the mascara looks when first applied: it gives genuinely amazing length and volume.

How Does Madara Deep Matter Bold Volume Mascara Wear?

Here is the catch with this clean mascara. It doesn’t stay in place all that well. It smudges beneath my eyes, whatever I do.

This photo shows the effect after just an hour, wearing one coat. It’s disappointing, however I do have watery eyes, especially in hayfever season.

So if you don’t have watery eyes, Madara mascara may work really well for you.

But if like me you do, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it – instead try PHB Mesmerise Mascara or PHB All-in-One Mascara which I have linked to here for my full reviews.
